Yes, a McDonald’s cheeseburger exceeded inflation significantly. Why? Because they can. If you want to buy a McDonald’s cheeseburger you’re only getting it at McDonald’s.
Yellow soybeans? You buy those from any country you want.
A 42” true flat screen TV was ~$15K in 1996-1997. A nice OLED 42” today is $1300.
Again, dissimilar comparisons made in a vacuum are stupid.
