Out of what ethanol plants is the extra 4-5% of ethanol going to be processed? Last I knew plant utilization was high likr 90+% and rate overall was 10.x. But I don’t follow that market very closely.
It won’t be hard.. a lot of plants were originally designed to expand (like ours.)
Checking.. and there’s already more expansion than I thunked..was going on. I would say that margins would stay good for awhile as we have way more grain than capacity to grind.. but.. if these reports are true.. it might not take long to catch up..
One narrative is that nationwide E 15 just diverts ethanol exports to Domestic consumption.. but until the straits gets resolved.. which could take months or longer.. kind of like the shipping crisis during Covid.. once opened it’ll still take months to recover.. also consider that 10% or thereabouts of world shipping capacity is trapped inside the Persian gulf.. which is why it will get solved.
Maybe Trump leans on everyone else and walks away with just an embargo on Iran.. maybe not?
pluses and minuses to both sides of that argument.. everyone else already hates him anyway.. and.. he doesn’t appear to care.. so.. Yal.. I can see that happening.. not saying it’s right but.. squeeze Iran back..
“Wanna play this game? Let’s go.”
not saying it’s right.. but probable with Trump.. mmm.. Yal.
This guy comes off as a propagandist cheerleader.. but.. buckle up cause this is probably what’s coming.. jmho.
The USAF is gonna pound away on the wanna be’s.. I think the flaw in that thinking is that Iran runs out of cheap drones built in garages.. so in a couple months.. this will be the real solution..
