North Central Indiana
We’ve got about 35 years worth. Went through them this winter for kicks to see changes. 40 years of heavy tillage in some fields, no appreciable O.M. change. One no-till field that was last worked in 92? No appreciable O.M. change there either. Lower rate variable rate fertilizer over the last 15 years has also not shown any decreases in test levels on our fields. We still have spread plans from all the way back then and the rate we’re applying now is about half on the average. Happy with our findings. Starting this year we’re going to utilize a strategy that Beck’s has talked about at meetings in a couple fields and see what happens.
Anyway, scan them or put them in a spreadsheet and burn up the old paper. That’s what we did.
