Subject: Thoughts on the Jones act

Midwest
President Trump is stopping the Jones Act. A little history here. Any ship going from one United States port to another United States port had to be an American flag ship. The problem is American flag ships are union so their freight bill makes them uneconomical to go port to port. We don’t have a coast to coast railroad so we can’t ship Midwest corn to east coast livestock economically either. All sounds kind of weird when it’s cheaper to ship South American corn to the port in Charleston than ship corn from a 3 I state to Charleston. While elimination of the Jones act won’t cause huge market changes every little bit helps. Thank you President Trump for slowly fixing America
