Subject: RE: Raising seed wheat?

Benson, MN
Varieties vary considerably. I've seen 10,500/ pound up to over 18,000/ pound. But I believe environment plays a bigger factor. Drought normally affects seed size, but I've also seen excessive moisture take a variety from 13,000/ pound one year to over 18,000/ pound the next year. Nitrogen is going to affect your protein/yield relationship more than seed size.
