Do you plant your corn or beans first?
Local agronomist here has pushed for years to plant the beans first then switch to corn as studies show a yield jump for early planted beans. In the years I planted only beans, saw no real jump in yield over the neighbors. Planter is currently set up for beans so may try it.

Irrigation. Yes.....Dryland, no. With dry land you have a 50% chance of zero yield gain and the possibility of playing your corn crop late. Best strategy is to run a planter on each at the same time in dryland. For me personally I power through the corn with 2 planters then get half to all my beans in early anyway.
