I'm no expert corn agronomist. However a good friend in IL years ago had a great stand of early planted corn get hit by frost and looked a lot like your pics. For a couple weeks he hung on thinking it would come out of it. Well it didn't. What did happen is the best dates for planting corn passed. It was a very tough year. His growing point was all out of the ground at the time of frost. I can't tell from the pics where yours was on 3/17. In retrospect, he would have been way better off if he had just killed the remaining plants and re planted from scratch as someone else in this thread suggested. A key thing also is to not just go in and replant into the existing stand. That's usually even worse than leaving it. I remember him and several others in this situation telling me the best solution is to kill the existing stand and start over. Best of luck to you.
