n. Illinois | I am with you, Let the whole middle east fight amongst themselves. That whole part of the world was an artificial creation to begin with. It all belong to the ottoman Empire until they lost in WW I, The British are the ones who drew the lines we see today on a map. they rewarded whoever was the local warlord that helped them in WW I. I read a piece years ago written by Churchill's grandson basically saying Grandpa got it wrong.
I just read a piece this week claiming it was Churchill who was the war monger that forced Britain into a war against the Ottomans by attacking two battleships that Britain had sold to Turkey, He did all of this without authorization from his commanders back in Britain. He then talked Britain into invading the Gallipoli Peninsula which became a horrible military defeat resulting in the closure of the straits to the Black sea which is where all of Russia's wheat and minerals are shipped through and provided the Czars 85% of their foreign income which when the trade route was closed created a financial disaster causing the Czar's to lose power to the Communists and we all know how that worked out.
Let the folks in the Middle East form their own natural countries. Let the Sunnis have their lands, The Shiites have their lands, let the Kurds have their own. Let the Jewish people have their own. Let them fight amongst themselves. Heck we will sell them all the guns and arms to do it. They will have to sell the oil to someone to be able to fund their insanity. Let them work it out in the end.
We have the ultimate Trump card (no not Donald Trump) we can turn that part of the world into nothingness and erase everyone if they start messing again with us. The deal is we leave and will not interfere beyond selling arms for cash (no Credit allowed) but if anyone of their crazies ever attack the US we will give them the Japanese WW 2 treatment. There is only one thing they respect and that is strength and we need to use it if pushed.
