| My opinion is different than most here.
Fertilizer costs make me nervous. I don't want to get over my skis. But....
I know my equipment payments for next year.
I know my rents (generally speaking) for next year.
I know my mortgage amortization for next year.
I know about what I need to hit living expenses.
I don't see huge adjustments in chemical or seed costs in general.
I have 2 hog barns that cut my fertilizer costs down on a sizeable amount of my acres.
I'm not selling here, but if we can sell $5 Dec futures or $12 Nov futures for 2027, I'll get a start. 10-15%. | |
