Boone Co. Iowa | I didn’t have enough corn sold prior to harvest in 2025 so trying to be proactive and sell more when the market is offering weather and war premium.
I am also of the opinion that my best sales are targets / offers that are in.
I got one dec. Corn 2026 that I set yesterday when my corn buyer called me asking if I wanted to sell….i set a HTA for $4.96. Right now market is at $4.95.
What would be a good next target? Something with a $5 in front.
I am selling in small increments but want to have an offer in.
I honestly figure we have another push or 2 higher with planting intentions at the end of the month, and maybe a weather premium through April to see how the crop goes in….
