Fontanelle, IA | Predators have tendencies just as prey have tendencies.
Id encourage you to document patterns of your nieces’ predator. Days and times. Who of the family is he calling/impersonating. When is he doing it? Nothing this predator is doing is clumsy & haphazard - actually quite the opposite : methodical, intentional, cunning, symbolic. At this point, you can’t rule out the coincidences. As sensitive as it might be, I’d ask your wife if there is something to the pink cake
I’d get some sort of thermal camera or binoculars. And, I’d ask some of your close neighbors and friends to be alert and vigilant. It will take a neighborhood watch to catch this wolf(pack of wolves).
Edit: I’d also look over your surroundings (trees, buildings) really well as he might have some sort of camera / trail cam recording your house/activities so altering your routine might be good also?
