Scott Bessent comments didn’t strike the market very well. Down .70 in beans and looks to continue lower. Same with corn and wheat.

Was that it for the year? Rally done? I states and Midwest sitting with more than adequate moisture. Looks like we will be off to the races with planting and the crop


The bigger question is did this “market rally into the Monday sell-off” change any acreage plans that were swinging/hanging?

Or, is the draconian lack of N fertilizer going to affect US corn and cereal acres along with gut-punching cotton’s COP “here” - and by default - increase soybean acres?

El Niño typically isn’t kind to S. America but any bean production cut doesn’t really matter when Brazil is going to crank out 6 billion bushels either way.
