NW IL, Mercer County | Ive been there on the farm rental side. Tenant was looking to give up a farm and asked if I would be interested, and if I was, he would recommend my name to the farm manager. Of course I said yes. Long story short, never got a call and the local BTO has been farming it ever since.
As far as land access goes, I wouldn’t be a D about it but I would tell them they will have to find another way, or charge them some sort of access fee. I dont know the legalities of any of this so you need to find that out. Don’t burn any bridges is the main thing. You never know when you might need something from them. | |
