Subject: What would you do?

Received a phone call last July from a neighbor that was giving up a farm that meets my property on 2 sides of
Mine. In order for my neighbor to farm a large portion of the farm they had to go through my property with equipment. I get along with my neighbor well so I always allowed it. He gave me the farm
Managers number and I immediately called
Him to let him know I was very interested and willing to continue the lease in place. The farm manager wanted other options to give the land owner. But the lease was going to stay the same just change tenants.
Over the last 8 months I checked in a few times to see if they needed any information from me to give to the land owner. I gave a resume to them describing my farm and farming practices. Also all the different lease options I offer just in case they wanted something more or different. Today I finally called again because I still hadn’t heard. Only to find out the farm has been rented to a large farmer in the area. For more
Money then was written for. But they would still like to access across my land to farm the other side. Part of me wants to tell them to take a hike. But other part of me says maybe being nice might pay off some day. Something I have noted over the years it seems the more “Aggressive farms ” putting it nicely seems to get the land 8/10 vs the nice guy who gets the land maybe 2/10 times. Thoughts? Sorry for the long post just needed to vent.
