NW Iowa
Look at your total dollars covered
How many times have your collected multiperil?
Do you raise more or less than your county ave?
If you have a drought, what are the odds of the whole county having one?
You want a good crop with a county having a bad one.
80% is the sweet spot being subsidized, with ECO and SCO stacked on.
I farm all real close so EU 80% with ECO and SCO plus $300 wind/ hail DDB policy.
I'm all corn, a wind event is my biggest concern.
Every farmer will be different, look at your past history and make an educated decision.
