SW OH | That reminds me of a couple more. At work we have the "rod box". It's a homemade insulted box with a big light bulb in it. You can put a frozen dinner in it when you get to work and it's hot by lunch time. Cans of soup are popular as well. So one day at lunch Pat was about the last one to come in to eat. He grabs his can of Dinty Moore beef stew and sits next to Wolfy, his best friend. Pat opens the can and breaks off a plastic spoon in the can. This seems to get everyone's attention. He gets another spoon and breaks it too. Pat was a hothead and threw the can against the wall as he stomped out the door. It splattered on the wall, missed the trash can and rolled across the floor. The room was silent and everyone was staring at each other wondering what happened. Everyone except Wolfy. He continued to eat like nothing happened. 5 minutes later all was quiet and Wolfy busts out laughing historically. Another 5 minutes later Pat came in with a Wendy's bag. Apparently Wolfy put his beef stew in the freezer right after Pat put it in the rod box that morning. 10 minutes before lunch Wolfy put it back in the rod box. That way the can was hot when Pat got it out at lunchtime. That was 25 years ago and we still talk about it today.
My nephew worked at a welding fab shop right after high school. A coworker was always bumming a cigarette. He always left the pack on his welder. He noticed they were disappearing and suspected the guy that was always bumming one. So my nephew took all the tobacco out of a cigarette, put in a firecracker, and put tobacco back in the end. He marked that 1 cigarette and the next day he left that 1 sticking out, easy to get. Later in the day he noticed it was missing. The suspect was not around. My nephew expected him to light it up in the shop where safety glasses and ear plugs were mandatory. He found him in the bosses office about to light it up. About the time my nephew opened the bosses door, it exploded. No ear plugs or glasses in sight. The paper from the firecracker was all over the bosses desk and keyboard. My nephew thought for sure he would be fired. The suspect was furious knowing he had been set up. When the boss heard the whole story he got a laugh out of it as well. They did both get a warning.
