Yeah, that's why I specified "in a controlled manner" . BSically you get them as close to the phobia as they are willing to go without overwhelming fear and then the next time they will go a little closer, and the next time a little closer. Obviously this doesn't work with a tornado, but a thunderstorm it sure could.
