Here no tornadoes ever,but you can keep your dog from being scared by embracing weather. If it starts to rain hard I open the deck door and calmly watch storms , the dogs sense human fear, so as puppy is there act like you love the noise and rain and lightning, has worked on most of my dogs.if they see a person scream or cry out about lightning the dog reacts to this fear, just be calm, pet the dog , have yourself a cup of coffee or a beer , they learn from your fears or your bravery
I got caught in a doom loop of funny videos the other day.........and on one of them, wives were pranking their husbands by suddenly jumping up and screaming and running around frantically just out of the blue. The men would join in and jump up on chairs and panic right along with them...........even though they didn't know why. LOL!
So yah, panic or calm is contagious. And not just with your pets. |
