I'm not "afraid" of storms. I do respect them, but my dog is really afraid, especially of thunder. Just rain doesn't bother her much. She normally sleeps on the floor next to my bed, but if there is thunder she gets under the bed. My wife grew up in western NY so she worries about tornados, not as much as she did when we first moved here but she is concerned.
