Doesn’t phase wife or me we got a decent sized picture window on west side of living room don’t mind watching storms roll in if the timing is right.  Son is afraid we’ll get a tornado I have no clue why and lightning bothers our daughter both grade schoolers.  Can’t convince son odds are near zero our county will ever see a tornado because the big lake destabilizes the storms too much.  I think two minor ones in recorded history. 

My maternal grandmother was deathly afraid of thunderstorms grandfather was 180 degrees opposite he’d tap the barometer and look out the windows commenting on the clouds and flip channels to look at radar.  I think he knew it bothered her and he fanned the flames.  Odd part is I swear grandfather and his twin felt the shock from a lightning strike.  


If someone would let me ride along as a storm chaser I’d jump at the opportunity.
