Yeah and even if you weigh that against the billions that the company has Crowd sourced for clients it's way under 10% the newest owners have lowered how much they keep to 2.9%. Lots of venture capital to get started those folks may have loaned the capital but they still needed repayment. It takes lots of money to keep the power on at places like that and people don't work for free. Nothing is saying that valuation was all from their share of donations. Much of the value in a website that doesn't sell anything is from its tracking and user data.

Do you not think go fund me is a net good?

Lowering the rate they retain gets it closer to being a net good, but if they’re still using it as a social engineering tool, my answer will remain no.
