Frost,Mn | We are a small town of only 200 people but we are able to keep an ambulance service. I had been on the fire department for many years but before joining the ambulance, I expressed knowing many of the patients and it was simply put you become like an old shoe and do the job you’ve been trained for and then digest later. I can’t explain it but it seems to be true. We’ve had some debriefings after bad calls and members talking to each other which has been helpful. The only emt I recall quitting was following a suicide a gal responded to a neighbor’s house, it was too personal.
I hope everyone in your situation turns out okay. | |
