I had just sold daddy one heck of a bull right before he passed away. Anyway. Decided to sell the bull for momma. Guy comes along and buys him. Went and bit and he calls asking if I want to buy him back. I said well I’m more in the business of raising and selling then buying back. I said is there some kind of problem? Oh no he said he is best bull I’ve ever owned. I said well what’s the problem? He said well I paid a decent bit for him and I bought a set of cows from a friend that came with a bull. He said I only gave $500 for him! I said what’s he like? He said he is easily the ugliest bull I’ve ever seen! He proceeds to send me pics. Only way I can describe him was looked half miniature Brahma and half Billy goat. He said all I need is his nuts and while they are small he still has a pair. He said I figured up how many calves I’d get and how much more money I’d make off having less money in the bull. I said well you’ve brought up some great points I’ve never thought of. I said here is how I’ve always looked at it. I said where do you sell your calves? Oh the Salebarn of course. I said well when you run calves in out of this bull vs this bull do you think they will
Look and sell the same? Oh land no I said I reckon they’ll sell real cheap. So we ran some quick numbers on how many calves and the true costs of each bull and needless to say he kept the bull we had sold him. Selling bulls you meet every kind I can assure you of that.
