Not so much in todays world. Lots of feedlot back feed to buyers, there are certain cattle that are bid up on. That said, in MO at small salebarns with calf runs in the 100's instead of 1000's where they come in 2-4 at a time, you are probably correct, but those small drafts are getting hit harder all the time. But as long as everyone keeps drinking their own flavor of Koolaid, everyone is happy
