Yes that’s where it’s headed. So little margin per acre that it takes more all the time to support a family (husband/wife/under 18 kids). The masses call it farmer greed, but in reality it’s necessity.

USDA massively overreports the amount of farmers because everyone with 5 acres wants an ag exemption.

1000 acres is a hobby farm today.
