Subject: RE: Chevrolet/GMC 6.6 gas vs diesel

South Texas
The math on mileage and cost usually comes out right about even. Adjust that 13 mpg gas for cost and it comes to 18 mpg diesel. Which is right about what my 7.3 gas dually and 6.7 diesel dually get. Bonus to the gas, don't have to feed the def. I don't know how much def a new gm burns, but when towing with a 2022+ ford diesel you have to figure another 10% of the fuel cost to cover def. The earlier models did not use anywhere near as much def. So yea any longer towing trip and I bring 4 jugs of def. Get caught having to pay gas station jug prices for that def and you can figure 20% extra vs fuel cost.
