| I was thinking of this topic yesterday while I was trimming some hooves, so I'm interested in the responses.
D-S livestock and Mountain View Machine also make sheep equipment.
Here's some pictures of my old Gold Circle tilt table. It squeezes, it tilts, that's it. I put an Ebay scale kit under it. I think a scale is necessary. The side net grabs the ewes OK, better if they have fleeces or winter hair.
I wish I had;
1. A head catch so I had front access to the head for eartagging and drenching.
2. Side doors that open for ultrasounding.
Be sure it is wide enough for heavy pregnant ewes. As you probably know, ewes can go from rail thin after weaning to XX wide pre-lambing. Also keep in mind the shape of your ewes. My squeeze is tapered, narrower at the bottom, which doesn't allow a barrel shaped Dorper to fit in, while a tall ewe twice her weight probably would.
I've never used one, but the tables built on hoops so they roll over easy look like they would be a pain when drenching or tagging as you would have to step out around the hoop each time.
I keep thinking one of these winters I will build a new one incorporating all the best features out there, but that never happens, so I keep using what I've got.
