The new style AWS drive allows for changing the belts without torching the bearings so that's a plus.   So far, knock on wood, I've never had to do any of that.   I did sell one auger head and went the draper route.   As good as an air bar is on an auger head, the draper is still far better.   You'll love it when you upgrade.
