4840 with a 24 to 25', have a 28' 496 on a 4960 FWD & can feel it pulling in flat ground. A 4840 2WD its limiting factor is the 2WD. We have a 4640 2WD & when it was a tillage tractor its limiting factor was 2WD, later picked up a used JD 8440 4 WD & that tractor changed tillage over a 2 WD.
What's the ideal size disc for a 4840?
