Seems it might behoove GM to call the new 6.6 gas engine a 6.7 instead. Might save on confusion in discussion and sales terminology.
As it stands, you could have a "new (vs used)" 6.6, or a "new design" 6.6. One might be a new crate engine to go back into a 2023 pickup. The second "new" one is a redesigned engine to be available in 2027 sometime.
