Faunsdale, AL | Meter bases are free to the consumer here. They’re the property of the power company. It’s stamped right on the ones from Alabama power.
Always best to just replace, but occasionally I’ll find one that I can still get the clamps loose. Those are usually the ones that the lugs were liberally coated with NOALOX grease when they were tightened last time.
I agree, it all needs replacing down to the point where you get to good wire tightened into good lugs. | |
