Camp Douglas Wi. 40miles nw of wi. dells | Have 2019 dually 3500 L5P 6 speed Allison, double pull 5th camper and trailer with side by side to Arizona in winters, total weight 30K. Set cruise at 70 mph, get in the mountains set engine brake and tow mode, yes it shifts down on steep grades but doesn’t back off 70 mph.
Rest of the year on the farm pulling seed tender, GN 32’ hauling hay bales, equipment, pulling draper etc. 3500 is parked in shed when it’s not pulling.
Have 1500 Silverado with 3L baby max for daily driving.
For couple winters some guys pulling campers to Arizona switched to 6.6 gas, 7.3 gas and 6.4 hemi. Mostly all back to diesels now.
