Keep in mind that alot of the country doesnt understand the scale of tillage in California. our "heavy" discs are what Californians consider finishing discs. (for the corn belters, they call a 915 ripper a "chisel" out in Cali. you should see their "rippers". )

There was another brand of California ripper that did d make it's way out here, guy was hell bent on getting rid of his hardpan, apparently the hardpan is the only thing keeping moisture in a usable location in our region, as supposedly the guy didn't raise a crop for a year or two after ripping deep.
I believe it was Shrader auction sold him out, down near Cheyenne Wells CO a couple years ago. Mt 875 and a R&M? Ripper
