 MN | Tt's normally er70s-6. That is 90% of what a farmer will weld with. Anything with that label should meet that spec.
All the brands of wire have some slight variations, and like anything else, pay more, get better stuff. We buy a mid price wire, and have good luck with it. Pretty sure it's a china wire.
Our local suppliers don't want to work with someone that doesn' use less than 10,000 pounds a year, and charge exorbitant prices to us small users. Therefore, I get almost all my welding supplies mail order now.
I have bought some wire from our local supplier on their "get rid of it" rack, and it welded fine in position, but vertical, or upside down, etc. was impossible. So if one brand doesn't work, try another. | |
