Western illinois | Stored inside or outside? I agree with the others about machinery deteriorating if unused, especially outdoors. How many acres is he needing to do? If you haven’t used it in several years and don’t plan to, why not just sell it to him? That way when bearings go out, a shank gets bent or it hits a fence post or tree, you don’t have an uneasy situation with a buddy. Loaning or even renting out equipment nowadays is a tricky situation. Parts and depreciation are expensive. What happens when some kid runs into it on the road? Liability in today's world is something to consider.
