If he’s a good friend/neighbor and you haven’t used it in a few years tell him to fix any leaking hoses/tires/bearings and put new shovels on if it needs it and let it be free other than that. At least it’ll be field ready if you need to use it unexpectedly. Equipment that sits for years without being used turns to scrap.
