Sac & Story county IA | It is called single wire earth return. In one bad ice storm, I had all my bins needing air. The power company gave me one hot wire. They told me to turn on till the voltage got soft. It worked pretty good. I have probably a dozen ground rods at the farm place. And quite a few deep anchors for elevators. Nobody got shocked from water coming out of tap.
I have traveled through areas of the country that is all they have. | |
