Subject: RE: Skid Steers

south dakota
I have both track and week skids used for both crop/ bed pack livestock operation. I would put the track machine in more of a specific use group. They can both do the job but wheels is more versatile and a much nicer ride if in it often. I only jump in the track machine 1 if it is in a more convenient spot then the other machine at the time or 2 if i need the tracks where the wheels wont work as well otherwise the wheel machine gets the most use. I have also replaced the track more often the the wheels and that is because somewere at sometime i ran over something that cut a track where eventually the track then gave out. With all that being said i bought a 80hp telehandler few years ago and that has taken place of the skids in probably 70 percent of the use needed for one of the 3 machines.
