If he’s not as close of a friend then do a fair rental rate like rdenall90 suggested. If he’s a close friend then I prefer my equipment get worn out rather than rust out and sit. Condition deteriorates faster if it just sits. If he absolutely wants to do something, have him put on some shovels when he gets done. Maybe the first couple rows or something.
