Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I have two of those style gadgets. One is receive only. The other can be used either way.

This means I can "modernize" an older stereo system to be able to receive music from a Bluetooth device such as my iPhone or Android tablet.

The other device could be used to "modernize" an older device that is a music source to broadcast to a Bluetooth capable device such as Bluetooth speakers.

Suppose I had two old non-Bluetooth systems. For some reason I wanted to get music from one to the other without wires. I should be able to put the device that can transmit Bluetooth on an RCA output (tape port) and and the other on an RCA input of the receiving old system. Then the music from the first system should be transmitted to the other system

I have patriotic music on my iPhone. With the older iPhone, I could just plug in a patch cord from the headphone jack on the iphone to an RCA input on a Non-Bluetooth PA system to get music for our local American Legion Memorial Day Program.

With the newer iPhone they have eliminated the headphone jack. The newer iPhone has Bluetooth of course, but the old PA system does not have that capability. One solution would be to use a Bluetooth receiving device plugged into that RCA jack. The music would go wirelessly between the iPhone and the PA system.

In truth, I still have an older iPad Pro that has the headphone jack. I just use it and plug it in directly with a patch cord. The iPad is easier to manipulate during the presentation anyway.

Lots of possible combinations with these devices.

Your picture of the Milwaukee Jobsite radio reminded me of what I found in my old Quad Tractor last Fall. The radio in it isn't that great so my Great Nephew who had been running it had placed his Milwaukee Jobsite radio in the Buddy Seat. His Jobsite radio is new enough that it has Bluetooth capability. He apparently used his phone which has Bluetooth capability as the music source.

When I took my shift, I had my Apple Air Pods with me. I used my iPhone and the Air Pods until the Air Pod batteries ran down. I then paired my iPhone with his Milwaukee Jobsite radio that was still in the Buddy seat and listened to it while my Air Pods recharged. I have the Air Pod Pro model and its noise cancelling feature works quite well in the tractor.
