The older Bush Hogs have a rubber element cross shaft between gearboxes, might need replacement, does sort of look like a small slip clutch, if it needs replacing I would recommend you to be setting down when you price it. You might get lucky and somebody reinstalled the cross shafts without timing the blades. The newer Bush Hogs have rubber discs on the cross shaft that makes them easier work on and you can usually just replace the rubber discs if needed.
