You want to make sure you are buying wire for the type of welding you are going to do. I wouldn't buy a hard surfacing wire to do normal welding for example.
Next is if you have a gas tank for your welder, don't buy flux core wire. I mean you can, but it wouldn't be needed as you have a shielding gas.
