NW KS/ SC ID
Keep in mind that alot of the country doesnt understand the scale of tillage in California. our "heavy" discs are what Californians consider finishing discs. (for the corn belters, they call a 915 ripper a "chisel" out in Cali. you should see their "rippers". )

a 4840 will probably be happier with a 12' "heavy" disc.

all depends on your blade diameter, spacing, and how aggressive.
