Yeah, but for a beginner farmer every combine in the budget is an "anything can happen" combine. Ive been there. My first combine when i was 19 years old was a repo 2005 cr970 that had sat in the back of the dealer lot 4 years with an inspection report saying it needed a pile of work. put in the sweat equity but had a nice combine for about half the $ dealers were asking for a "field ready" machine. I finished my 10th year in the custom harvesting business last fall.
I say go for it if you know how to wrench, and if you don't find the service manual and you'll learn as you go
