I have dropped a lot of insurance on buildings since retirement. I figured if they blow away in a storm I wouldn't replace them anyway. So insurance on them is more like buying a lottery ticket.
I still insure the shop that gets rented out and provides income. Dropped insurance on the old house that we use as a farm office.
Figured anything I wouldn't replace, just make sure liability is high enough.
Just carry liability on a 2004 service truck that maybe gets 200 miles a year driven. Mostly my roll around tool box.
