north central iowa | I switched a Case IH 1250 planter over to a 1255 cable drive planter from used parts I bought off of Bigiron. The guy switched his 24 row 1255 cable drive over to precision -electric drives. I talked to the owner before I bought his used stuff. He didn't have issues just wanted to switch. My planter was a 16 row. So I had extra parts. I only had to switch out two cables over 6 more years. I was having issues with my air clutches and figured this was a cheap upgrade. I loved the switch.
