Sounds like they are pretty sharp and have made some good decisions up to this point.

In my opinion I think that they should be building a War Chest and it sounds like they are already doing that.

Up to some point the best thing to do is live in the cheap/low rent situation but as soon as it is feasible they need to be building equity in their own home whether or not it is their dream home yet.

Land is always overpriced but I think that they should save up enough money for a down payment and buy whatever piece that they can find that one of their incomes would make the payment even if the land brought in zero money.

Hopefully close enough to his parents that he can trade labor for use of equipment.

Being a Dad I know that it takes all of my operation to make my deal work. So as much as I would like to be turning over part of it to the next generation. Doing it prematurely would more than likely not be the best decision.

It’s refreshing to hear about young people that are trying to work towards their dreams.
