Green Acres---great layout as always but it's difficult to educate those that don't want to be educated on marketing. Was at a conference today and Richard Brock was one of the key speakers. Talked a lot about market carry / hedging /margins/etc. Ended it with "there is a segment of farmers (quite large) that have no interest in understanding grain marketing. The want to drive tractors, harvest grain, and go hunting. No desire to understand marketing and it will be their downfall." Petty brutal but as a guy who has originated grain across the midwest for 20 years, he ain't wrong.

Richard Brock's business relies on what exactly? Commissions? Advice? I get a kick out of these guys who come up with double backflip trading strategies to make themselves feel smart.
