Bottom of the Mitten | The biggest thing in my opinion is to educate him on WHY you do the things you do. Why do you feed corn? How do you know when the hay is dry enough to bale? How do you know when a steer is finished? How do you pull a calf (in detail)? The list goes on and on. That stuff all seems 2nd nature to anyone thats been doing it a while but he needs to know why its done that way and what happens if its done wrong. He can avoid a lot of the financial learning curve if he understands how things work. | |
