Mid MO | I wish I'd been encouraged to work for neighbors, coops, feedlots, salebarns, etc. Any place to get experience and meet folks. Also, work where money changes hands to get a grip on finance and how/when/why folks make money; doesn't have to be ag.
I'm partnering with my niece on some cows. I haven't figured it all out yet, but I'm going to have her keep the books. I think that's fundamental. It would be especially helpful if this thing takes a dump and she has to operate through it. Lesson of a lifetime. She's 15.
